Virtual Lesson Set-Up Guide
At Stardust Vocal Studio, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience during your virtual lessons. To set yourself up for success, please:
Choose a quiet environment with minimal distractions.
Position your device at eye level for better visibility.
Follow the steps below to optimize Zoom for the best sound and video quality.

Go to zoom.us/download.
Click Download under Zoom Client for Meetings.
Open the downloaded file (Zoom.pkg of Mac and ZoomInstaller.exe for PC Users) and follow the installation instructions.

Open Zoom and sign in (or create an account if you don’t have one).
Click on your profile picture (top right) and go to Settings.
Navigate to AUDIO:
Microphone: Select your external microphone (if using one) or your device’s built-in mic.
Automatically adjust microphone volume: Uncheck this option.
Input volume: Set to at least 80%.
Under AUDIO PROFILE:
Select Original Sound for Musicians.
Select High-Fidelity Music Mode.
Navigate to VIDEO:
Camera: Select your webcam (built-in or external). Adjust lighting and positioning so your face is well-lit and clearly visible.

Start a new Zoom Meeting (without others).
At the top of the meeting window, locate where it says Original Sound for Musicians: Off and click to turn it ON.
Go to the microphone icon at the bottom left corner of the screen, click on the little arrow next to it, and select Test Speaker and Microphone.

Download Zoom from App Store or Google Play Store.
Open Zoom and sign in (or create an account if you don’t have one).
Click on the 3 dots on the bottom of your screen and navigate to Audio.
Select Original Sound.
Join your meeting.
