Akshara is an accomplished musician and music educator with 9 years of teaching expertise and over 12 years of performance experience. Boasting a broad repertoire spanning Jazz, R&B, and Indian Carnatic music, she has graced stages in the vibrant cultural hubs of the Greater Boston Area in Massachusetts and the San Francisco Bay Area in California.

Akshara's instruction lies in skillfully guiding students on a personalized journey that extends beyond a one-size-fits-all approach. Recognizing that every individual has unique learning styles and needs, she carefully crafts lesson plans tailored to Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) goals for each student. Her approach encompasses a harmonious blend of music theory, instrumental mastery, stage prowess, and band etiquette, all of which contribute to achieving pedagogical excellence. Beyond the realm of music, Akshara's aim is to empower her students with a diverse toolkit that nurtures not only their artistic abilities but also fosters their confidence to tackle any challenge they encounter. Her commitment is to provide not just a path to musical success but a holistic foundation for lifelong learning and achievement in any endeavor.

Balancing her ardor for education with a rich performance history, she has also shared the stage with luminaries such as Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, collaborated with the acclaimed vocal ensemble The Real Group, and delivered performances at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall as a chorister. Presently, Akshara holds the position of a resident vocalist with San Jose’s dynamic jazz big band, the 7th Street Big Band. Her impressive roster of performances includes appearances at various events, notably San Jose Jazz’s Summer Fest in both 2021 and 2022. Additionally, she composed and recorded a single titled Downpour for the band’s sophomore album, Post Hang, in early 2022.
